Ramallah, Palestine
The General Union of Palestinian Women has strongly condemned the recent arrest of three prominent Palestinian activists by Israeli occupation forces. Among those detained were Abla Sa’adat, a leading member of the union and the wife of imprisoned Palestinian leader Ahmad Sa’adat; national leader Tahrir Jaber; and university student Du’aa Al-Qadi.
The arrests occurred during a raid on the city of Ramallah, where Israeli forces forcibly detained the activists in front of their families. In a statement, sent to Equipe Media the Union called upon Palestinian freedom fighters worldwide to launch solidarity campaigns to demand the immediate release of the imprisoned women.
The Union emphasized that such brutal tactics will not deter the Palestinian women’s movement, which continues to advocate for freedom, justice, and equality.
