In a notable move, the Swedish MP Johan Büser, Chair of the Gothenburg Chamber of Commerce and Treasurer of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), denounced the continued occupation of Palestinian territories by Israel, as well as the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara.
The Green Party leader posted following meetings with officials from the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rabat:
“During my visit to the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I raised Morocco’s views on occupations in general.Partly the decision in the UN that Israel’s occupation of Palestine must end as well as the Moroccan occupation of Western Sahara and why it is illegal in this country to question Morocco’s illegal claim under international law to the territory of Western Sahara.”
