Burundi to close its Consulate General in El Aaiun- Occupied Western Sahara

Juanuary 20, 2020, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Burundi has decided to close its Consulate General in El Aaiun for « strategic reasons and reciprocity » without offering further elaboration.
On February 28, 2020 ,in violation of the Charter of AU Burundi had opened a Consulate General in El Aaiun although there is no national residing in those territories.
That step would undoubtedly impact on Moroccan Propaganda intended to aimed at affecting UN efforts .
